PNC Women in Engineering & Technology Meeting

Purdue University North Central Women in Engineering & Technology (WIE&T) will have its final meeting of the year on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Library-Student-Faculty Building, Room 170A, located adjacent to the cafeteria. The program: "Setting and Reaching Your Goals" is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided.

The guest speaker, Claudia Winter, a senior student who is graduating with a degree in Construction Engineering Management & Technology, will share her experiences and remembrances from PNC while she was reaching her dream. Winter is president of the Construction Club and was one of the recipients of the 2011 Women in Engineering and Technology scholarships.

The winner(s) of the 2012 WIE&T Scholarship will be announced and awarded during the meeting. Applications can be obtained and must be sent by e-mail to mgarcia@pnc.edu before 5 p.m. April 9.

The PNC WIE&T program is dedicated to recruiting and retaining female students to enrich the engineering and technology profession, making more equitable the gender participation in technology fields. The program encourages female students to succeed not only academically, but personally and professionally through seminars, talks, and discussion with guest speakers from alumni, industry and academia.
