The Purdue University North Central Rotaract Club, Veterans Club and Alumni Association will host a vintage car show on Saturday, Aug. 28 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the PNC campus parking lots.
Registration will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and judging from noon to 2 p.m. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m. to conclude the day's activities. Registration is $20 per car, payable during registration the day of the show. There will be a $100 cash prize for Best in Show. Vehicle classes range from pre-1930s to present, with trucks, imports, sport motorcycles and hogs.
The show's theme is "Drive to Survive" with all proceeds donated to benefit the Food Banks of Northwest Indiana and Northern Indiana. Trophies are provided by Engravables of Valparaiso.
The event will also feature an Army rock wall and an Army Hummer. ZaZa Italian Restaurant, of Valparaiso, will have food and drink available for purchase and the Rotaract Club will sell donuts and water provided by Family Express.
