PNC Non-Credit Laboratory Safety Course for Teachers

The Purdue University North Central Office of Continuing Education is offering an online course on lab safety in the classroom designed for teachers. PNCTeachers may earn CRU/CEU credits for this course. Non-teachers who are interested in learning about lab safety may also enroll.

"Laboratory Safety in the Classroom" will be featured online June 21 through July 30. This is a self-paced online course that must be completed during the scheduled time frame. Students may access the virtual classroom at their convenience. The registration fee is $289.

Safety in the science laboratory applies to all science classes in kindergarten through college level in public, charter and private schools as well as colleges and universities.

Students will investigate the hidden and potential hazards that exist in a science classroom, learn how injuries can be prevented and evaluate safety aspects of an experiment or science activity to become aware of hazards that may exist.
