PNC Alumni Association Gives Back to PNC

The Purdue North Central Alumni Association (PNCAA) will present a $5,000 gift to Purdue University North Central on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 1:30 p.m. PNC

PNC students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and community members are welcome to attend. This event will take place during the week-long Purdue Pride week celebration at PNC. This event will provide the first opportunity for donors to see the brick installed memorials around the fountain.

This gift to PNC was made possible by the sale of memorial bricks that have been installed as a border around the PNC fountain, located outside the Technology Building. Thus far, 55 bricks have been sold. The PNCAA has a short-term goal of selling a total of 150 bricks. Bricks may be purchased by students, faculty, staff, retirees, alumni and anyone in the community. The bricks may be used to celebrate a commencement, memorialize a friend or relative, recognize one's commitment to Purdue and PNC or remember one's time at PNC. The bricks may be personalized with an inscription.

"The Alumni Association wants to express its appreciation and support to PNC through this gift. It is important to set an example of giving back to those organizations that make an impact in the community," said Amy Davis Navardauskas, PNC director of Alumni Relations.

"I want to commend everyone for their patience through this process," states Davis Navardauskas. "We thank those who purchased engraved bricks which serve as an expression of loyalty to a world-class institution and add to the beauty of campus, creating a legacy for years to come."

Proceeds will support alumni association activities, such as events that provide engagement and opportunities for students and alumni and programs such as scholarships.

The Alumni Association will also be handing out free beverages outside the Library-Student-Faculty Building from 11 a.m. to 1 pm.
