The Portage High School girls’ tennis team sent Carly Bermes to the 2011 All-Duneland Athletic Conference All-Conference team.
The former Athlete of the Week Bermes was the sole Indian to be named to the team from the fourth-place Portage squad, who tied with Crown Point and LaPorte in the final DAC standings.
Bermes was named to the All-Conference #1 Singles team along with Bobbi Modesto (Chesterton), Brooke Foltz (Michigan City), Kelsey Sajdera (Merrillville), Hilary Frye (LaPorte) and Kelly Kennedy (Valparaiso).
