The Portage High School girls athletic teams have combined thus far for a score of 35.5 in the “All-Sports” race, determining the school in the Duneland Athletic Conference with the best overall girls or boys athletic programs.
Currently, The Chesterton Trojans are in first place after earning first-place points in golf, soccer, and swimming and diving. Their gymnastics team also finished second. The Indians are ahead of Merrillville and Michigan City due larlgey to their third-place finish in gymnastics this year.
The girls’ spring sports include softball, track, and tennis – so be sure and root on your lady Indians as they attempt to reach the All-Sports gold!
