GIRLS TRACK:
Last night in Girls Track action Portage defeated Michigan City 93-38 and also defeated Laporte 87-45. Taking First place for the Indians were: Christina Delturco, Bri Cipich,Paige Mulle and Abby Trader in the 4X800 relay. Jawanza Woods in both the 200 and 400-meter dash. Terra Norman in the 3200 and the 1600-meter races. Danielle Randle El in the 300 hurdles, Christina Delturco in the 800, Tori Bliss in the shot put. The winning 4X400 team was made up of Dominique Turney, Jabria Ezell, Bella Comacho and Jawanza Woods. Great job ladies.
BOYS TRACK:
Boys Track extended their season record to 3-0 by defeating Michigan City and LaPorte last night in DAC action. Alvin Best and Tyler Monahan led the Indians. Alvin had 3 firsts, winning the High Jump, 400 Dash and a member of the 4x400 Relay. Tyler won both the Shot Put and Discus. Cameron Eaton, DeAndre Jackson & Ty Crawford were also part of the winning 4x400 Relay. Next up for the Indians is the Ben Davis Relays in Indianapolis where they'll compete against #1 Ben Davis and several other Top-ranked teams.
