PHS Athletics Roundup: Baseball and Track & Field Seasons End, Golf Beats Highland

The boys track & field Regional concluded Friday after school with Mitch Rodriguez competing in the pole vault. While Mitch was unable to close the gap on the team score, he did soar to a new personal best and qualified for the State Finals with his 3rd place finish. The Indians finished Runner-up as a team in Regional competition and are sending 5 Individuals and 1 Relay to State this coming Saturday at IU.

The varsity golf team beat Highland 165-170. Nick Lewis was medalist shooting a 38, Tep Junyanid 41 and Jordan Henson 42. JV lost to Highland Tyler Gonzalez scored a 44.

In baseball sectional play, the team beat Laporte to advance to the championship game but lost to Valpo.
