The Lady Indians improved their record to 2-0, 1-0 in the conference. Heather Zengler did a great job on the mound pitching 5 innings, allowing 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Offensively, the Indians were led by several outstanding performances:
Haley Hodges was 4 for 4 with 1 run scored and 4 RBI’s
Kaitlyn Doud was 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored
Alexis Johnson was 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI
Katie Peksenak and Rachel Ortiz each had 2 hits.
JV Softball beat MC 12-1 in 6 innings
Rachel Smock 3 for3 with 4 RBI’s
Summer Vardamen 4 for 4 with a triple and 1 RBI
Krystle Allison 2 for 3 with 1 RBI
Ashley Belt 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s
The varsity baseball team fell to 4-2 on the year, losing to Elkhart Memorial 3-0. Chris Klenk had 2 hits in the loss, while Tyler Kniola struck out 6. Come out and support the Indians as they play Griffith at home tomorrow in near 60 degree weather!
