INDIAN HEADThe girls’ varsity tennis team opened their season with a 5-0 win over Wheeler. JV won 5-2.

The Lady Indian track team split last night beating Crown Point 79-53, but lost to L.C. 78-49. Jade McKnight finished 1st in 100m and 2nd in the long jump (18-4) Kyra Ball won both the 1600m run and the 3200 m run.

Boys track hosted Crown Point and Lake Central in their home opener last night. The meet began in sunny, warm conditions and finished up in a bitter cold misty north wind under the lights. The Indians split beating Lake Central 76-56 and falling to a very solid Crown Point squad 84-48. Overall first were:

Rashaan Coleman, Long Jump; Taylor Sebben -300 Hurdles; the 4x100 Relay Team of Taylor Sebben, Lorenzo Wells, Alex Sanchez & Dushaun Holmes.

Varsity softball lost to Chesterton 6-1. Kiley Jones pitched 7 inning with 11 strike outs. She also hit a solo home run.

JV beat Chesterton 12-1.

Sydney Condiff was 3 for 4 with a double, triple and 7 RBI’s, Rachel Smock 2 as 2 for 3, and Adrien Hall was 2 for 3 with a walk. Tyler Kniola threw 7 shutout innings to pick up his 2nd win on the season, beating Chesterton 4-0 in the opening game of the DAC schedule. Peter Psomadelis led the offense with 2 hits.

JV baseball tied with Chesterton 6-6. Conner Litzgow made a game saving circus catch. Hunter Kraynak and Noah Simmons pitched well.

Freshman baseball beat the Trojans 6-1

Dakoda Simmons 3 for 3 with 2 runs

Aaron Brehmer 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s Ryan Griffin 6 innings pitched with 9 strikeouts
