Opportunity Enterprises Celebration of Achievement Recognizes Award Winners

OE-2012-Award-Winners-GroupClients, staff, volunteers, and community partners were recognized for their accomplishments at Opportunity Enterprises’ annual Celebration of Achievement Luncheon on Tuesday, March 20 at Strongbow Inn in Valparaiso. The event was attended by more than 200 people.

Award winners recognized at the event included the following: Amazing Clients of the Year – Bob Cloyd, Regina Guinn, Becky Knapik; Outstanding Direct Service Professional Award – Peter Rosenthal; Community Employer of the Year – Wal-Mart, Portage; JobSource Client of the Year – David Moscoe; Volunteers of the Year – Jeff and Mary Liggett.

The event also included a presentation by “Handicap This,” a performance duo featuring Mike Berkson and Tim Wambach, a man living with cerebral palsy and his former aide and best friend. The high-spirited performance brought their true-life adventures to the stage with humor and honesty, and provided a provocative look at friendship, breaking down barriers, and living with disabilities.
