Christmas 2010 was once again a very special place here at Housing Opportunities. This year, we had 91 children who received Christmas stockings from very generous donors. Pat Bodensteiner graciously offered to oversee this whole project, and her team of elves were very instrumental in organizing and sorting all of the donations that came in. One her team were: Nancy Dworkin, Linda Munroe , Kathy Lemmon, Roxane and Brianna Abbott, and Barb Schmidt. In order for them to have things to organize, we needed the community to step up, and that certainly happened. Housing Opportunities received fully filled stockings from Centier Bank’s Corporate Office in Merrillville, the Noon Kiwanis Club, Jamie Juarez, Heartland Group, Pam Hood, Nancy Dworkin, Union Kuntry Kids 4-H, Family Bible Church, Lakeside Wealth Management, Kathy Wardell, Century 21 – Jeanne Sommer and JCPenney of Valparaiso.
