Northwest Health Names Chief Quality Officer

Ashley Dickinson, CEO for Northwest Health, has appointed Tamara Awald, RN, BSN, MS as Chief Quality Officer (CQO) for the Northwest Health system of hospitals and physician offices.

Awald, a resident of Lakeville, Indiana, has more than twenty years of healthcare experience. She started her career in nursing at Northwest Health – Starke and rapidly advanced into a variety of consulting and executive positions at both community hospitals and large integrated health systems nationwide. Prior to her promotion to Chief Quality Officer for Northwest Health she served as CQO for Northwest Health – La Porte and Starke.

Awald earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, a master’s of science in Health Administration and a master’s of Business Administration from the University of Saint Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Health Administration. Her many certifications include: Certified Nursing Executive – Advanced, Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management, Legal Nurse Consultant – Certified, Professional Healthcare Advocate, and Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
