NorthShore Health Centers welcomes three new team members

NorthShore Health Centers is excited to welcome three new members to their growing team of compassionate medical professionals. The three experts, a dentist and two family nurse practitioners, are excited to join a mission-driven team dedicated to providing high-quality care to everyone, regardless of who they are or their ability to pay.

Dr. Marteki Codjoe, DMD – General Dentist

Dr. Marteki Codjoe, DMD

Dr. Codjoe believes that dentistry itself is an art – one she practices with strong attention to detail and a commitment to helping her patients smile with the confidence they deserve.

She is a graduate of the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry and enjoys spending time with friends, going to the gym, and traveling.

Victoria McMahon, MSN, FNP-C – Family Nurse Practitioner

Victoria McMahon, FNP-C

Before earning a certification as a nurse practitioner, McMahon worked as an ICU nurse. She also was a frontline worker during COVID-19. Those experiences fostered a desire to provide preventative care and healthcare education to underserved communities in the Region.

McMahon earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Northwest. She lives with her husband of five years and enjoys the outdoors, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Heather Piehl, FNP-BC – Family Nurse Practitioner

Heather Piehl, FNP-BC

In her time as a nurse, Piehl worked in behavioral health and fell in love with her patients and their stories. It taught her that people often want to take care of their mental and physical health but need some guidance to take those first steps. That inspired her to earn her certification as a nurse practitioner, so that she could further help people and be the person that people in need can rely on.

Piehl is a Northwest Indiana native and graduate of Purdue University where she earned a Master of Science in their Family Nurse Practitioner program. She lives with her four-year-old daughter and their dog, Eleanor.
