Northshore Health Center Knocks It Out of the Park at 2nd Annual Health Fair

This afternoon, North Shore Health Centers took on its 2nd annual Health Fair at the United States Steel Yard where the Gary Railcats played the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

People attending were all over the booths/tables that the various vendors had set up around the inside perimeter of the seats at the US Steel Yard. Everything from senior living facilities to healthcare and head start programs were in attendance. There were even free chair massages!

Namely, some of the businesses represented today were Anthem BCBS, MHS, Freeman Foot Care, Genius Head Start, Neighbors’ Educational Opportunities, Tradewinds and many others.

I caught up with Clarissa Regula from Geminus Head Start who said she was happy the event has had a great turnout so far and she looked forward to helping anyone that came by.

Other services that were offered during the ball game were BMI (Body Mass Index) Screenings, Blood Pressure checks, dental signups, and more. North Shore invited everyone to come out for a family-fun-filled day with them, Rusty, and the participating vendors and it was exactly that.

The event beat last years’ attendance of 3900 and the RailCats ended up winning the ball game 7 runs to 3, sweeping the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Way to go RailCats!
