New Immigration Laws Explained at Lake Station Library

Neighbors-New-Vistas-High-SchoolNEO Adult Education and Valparaiso School of Law present an informative session on new immigration laws. Questions will be answered and information given at the Lake Station Public Library located at 2007 Central Ave. on Saturday, February 21st from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Immigration Information will be presented in both English and Spanish.

The event will discuss Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA), eligibility, when and how to file, how to prove physical presence. It will also discuss criminal matters and ineligibility.

Local organizations have been invited to set up tables in an effort to inform the community about the services available to immigrants. These tables may be visited before and after the main event.
