Neighbors’ Educational Opportunities Has Open Enrollment in 2015

NeighborsNeighbors' Educational Opportunities (NEO) Adult Education in Portage invites adults to discover the benefit of NEO's adult education courses featuring a focus on preparing students for the next step, either college, technical school, or the working world. Classes are available in a variety of daytime and eveninghours for added flexibility for adult learners of all ages and job descriptions. Enrollment is offered by appointment on Fridays at 5391 Central Avenue in Portage.

NEO Adult Education offers courses geared toward furthering education and meeting individual student goals. Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes will focus on improving basic skills, professional development, finding employment, and college or high school equivalency test preparation.

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are also offered if English is your second language and you want to speak, read, write, and understand English better. Classes offer focus on workforce development (jobs), citizenship and community involvement.

NEO Adult Education is a free learning center open to any Indiana resident who is 16 years or older, is not currently enrolled in high school, and is in need of adult education services.

The center's highly qualified teachers are committed to helping students achieve their dreams. They provide individualized learning plans, one-on-one and small group instruction, flexible, year-round scheduling, distance learning and child care.
