First grade had a very special visitor from Sunset hills come and teach us all about trees and how tremendous they are! We learned that a tree starts as a seed, then it grows to be a seedling. The teenager tree is called a sapling, and then the tree is an adult. We learned that each tree has a different type of seed and that you can tell how old a tree is by counting the rings inside the tree after it dies. We also got to make our own tree as a class! We had such fun learning about trees, they are terrific!
