Fourth grade students at Myers are hoping for lots of sunshine as they wait impatiently for their mammoth sunflower and climbing green bean seeds to sprout out of the planting soil. As the miracle of new birth—in this case, of plants—is observed, the 64 excited students will record conditions such as height, watering amounts, leaf span in millimeters, and weather conditions, in their quest to grow healthy, productive plants. In 3 weeks, they will replant the seedlings at home to observe over the summer. Good luck, students!
