The role of the Digital Marketing Specialist is to execute digital marketing programs to support Methodist Hospitals’ overall marketing goals, improve its online presence, and align with other marketing strategies and tactics. The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Marketing Supervisor.



  • Manage and maintain Methodist’s digital platforms including and social media pages.
  • Maintain and monitor site analytics and report digital campaign results; monitor online reputation efforts. Monitor key online marketing metrics and site traffic to track engagement and recommend enhancements.
  • Analyze digital data to formulate recommendations around website and social media engagement optimization.
  • Monitor and report editorial media coverage. Make recommendations for responsive PR strategies.
  • Conduct social media audits to ensure best practices are being used.
    Prepare and send emails utilizing institution mailing lists.
    Support online listing management, digital and CRM agency activities.
    Stay abreast of digital trends; presenting recommendations on new activities, needs to Supervisor and Director of Marketing.
    Other duties as needed and/or assigned.
    JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Requirements)


Understanding of digital marketing and digital production
Understanding of all social media platforms
Experience executing effective digital and social media campaigns, preferably for healthcare systems
Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate and interpret data
Strong oral and written skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Knowledge of desktop publishing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
Knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, strategies and channels
Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA rules regulating the communication of protected patient information
Knowledge of and proficiency in executing hospital policy for and procedure for managing media presence in the hospital facilities


Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field required

Additional experience may qualify as a substitution for the required education


2+ years of marketing experience required

Two (2) years of work experience with responsibilities in digital marketing or a related field required. Experience in digital marketing in a healthcare setting preferred.

Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information. Understands and supports the commitment of Methodist Hospitals in adhering to federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations governing ethical business practices for healthcare providers.
