Looking for an opportunity to volunteer or a place to intern? Look no further! Mental Health America of Porter County is now looking for volunteers/interns to work with, and facilitate, Open Door Social Club!
Open Door Social Club welcomes adults that have been diagnosed with a mental illness and have been compliant with treatment. One of our goals is to provide positive peer to peer interactions through safe and healthy social engagements. We provide a stigma-free atmosphere for the members and plan activities where they can feel safe engaging in our communities.
If you're interested in volunteering or are a Social Work/Human Services/Psychology or Sociology major; interning here is a must to gain valuable experience working with individuals who have a mental illness.
