Memorial Opera House is committed to the safety and security of all of our volunteers, staff, students, and patrons. With that in mind, we feel it is best to postpone our productions of “9 to 5” and “Matilda” to future dates yet to be determined.
In our last communication to you, we indicated that performance dates would be rescheduled to this July, however, everyone feels it is best not to continue moving productions forward indefinitely. While we are eager to resume producing top quality shows, we feel this is the most responsible decision at this time for everyone involved.
Once our staff resumes regular box office hours, we will contact all subscribers and single tickets patrons directly requesting your ticket exchange preferences. Exchanges and refunds are certainly an option, but donations are most appreciated. Please remain patient with us while we work through each individual order. We are committed 100% to the happiness and satisfaction of our Memorial Opera House patrons and friends.
We are going to do our absolute best to present the remainder of our 2020 season, and we intend to announce an exciting 2021 season sometime this summer.
We are fortunate to have the support of the Porter County Commissioners and Porter County Council, as well as Memorial Opera House Foundation. With their support and guidance they are helping us to ride out this storm, and giving us the confidence to say yes, we will make it through this. And we wholeheartedly appreciate the faith and support of the entire community during this unprecedented time.
Finally, we feel very strongly that when this crisis passes, the need for collective human engagement, the desire to live and love and laugh and cry together will be more welcome and powerful than ever. We are excited to continue to be the premier venue where the arts create community, and we are honored to know that you make this possible.
