Meeting Accelerated Reading Goals

Myers-AR-Reading-1The second grade students at Myers Elementary School are working hard on reaching their goal in A.R. reading. A.R. stands for Accelerated Reader. This is a program where children read books independently at their reading level and then take a computerized quiz to test their comprehension.

Each child has a goal set for them at the beginning of each Trimester and they earn points as they pass their quizzes. At the end of each Trimester students who meet their goal are rewarded with a free bag of popcorn and an extra recess.

Myers-AR-Reading-2At this time most second graders have either met their goal or are getting close!
