Meet the Radiology Team at Methodist Hospitals Breast Care Center

NWI-BCC-RadiologyMeet the Radiology Team at Methodist Hospitals Breast Care Center!

 054

My name is Dr. Anastasia Siatras, and I am one of the radiologists at the Northwest Indiana Breast Care Center at Methodist Hospitals. I am an Ohio native, but did both medical school and radiology residency training at Midwestern University, and have been at Methodist Hospitals ever since. I chose radiology as a career because I have the opportunity to see and be a part of every interesting case at the hospital, but my true career passion is mammography and breast imaging. I love having a close interaction with a predominantly female population, performing biopsies, and meeting with patients to provide breast health education. While the diagnosis of breast cancer is often frightening, one of the best aspects of my job is to offer my patients support and work diligently to detect the disease at the earliest stage possible. By doing so, I want to provide my patients with the reassurance that even after diagnosis, they can go on to have the life that they have always been destined to have.

019Hello, my name is Dr. Kenneth Segel and I am a Breast Radiologist who brings nearly 29 years of experience to the table at the Northwest Indiana Breast Care Center. I'm a 1983 graduate of MIT, and I followed that up by furthering my education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine where I obtained my graduate degree in 1987. I completed my residency in Radiology at the Texas Health Science Center at Houston, which included time at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, and I completed my fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. I became Board Certified in 1992 and I moved with my wife and children to Illinois to head a minimally invasive breast biopsy program at a local hospital. In 2009 I came to Methodist Hospitals to head up their breast program and I continue to provide treatment, hope, and encouragement to my patients each and every day.
