McColly Real Estate honors brokers at 46th Annual Awards & Recognition Celebration

McColly Real Estate honors brokers at 46th Annual Awards & Recognition Celebration

On Thursday morning, McColly Real Estate hosted their 46th Annual Awards & Recognition Celebration, a breakfast banquet at Innsbrook Country Club. The event celebrated the 2019 and 2020 achievements of dozens upon dozens of brokers including the Rookies of the Year, Service Awards, and the Top Producers.

The Awards & Recognition Celebration is one of McColly’s most important annual events. Every year, the company shuts down entirely for the morning to ensure that everyone can make it. The brokers, the administrators, corporate team, and Community Title staff all attend to enjoy the festivities.

The event theme initially stemmed from the book "The Pumpkin Plan- A Simple Strategy to Grow a Remarkable Business in Any Field" and had an added twist of car racing with the tagline "McColly Real Estate Comes Highly Wreck-O-Mended.”

“The idea is simple but important, it’s a way to show our appreciation for everything our brokers do,” said Lionel Sanchez, Marketing Director for McColly Real Estate. “It’s a culture here, run by family and focused on family and community. It’s about personalities, including our hard working brokers whose achievements we want to recognize.”

Those personalities include The Lisa Grady Team, who was presented with the 2019 and 2020 President’s Platinum Team Award, for being Indiana’s No.1 Producer. The ladies of the team wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month and to honor Grady's late mother.

Alan Harrell, a member of the 2020 President’s Club for closing a minimum of $1 million in volume, shared his sentiments about being a part of McColly Real Estate.

“It’s such a great family owned business, they treat all of their employees with such respect,” he said. “It’s an honor to get this kind of recognition, and it’s what they’re all about.”

A McColly Valparaiso broker, Mary Beth Meyers, was named a part of the 2019 and 2020 President’s Circle for closing on a minimum of $5 million in volume both years.

“The reason I stay here is because of the camaraderie and support,” she said. “I just feel so much love every time I get into a room with all of these colleagues.” Meyers also noted that the event is unique among brokerages, that it is almost unheard of to shut down for a morning in recognition of the brokers.

Meyers is looking forward to another successful year and pointed to events such as the banquet and an array of other tools and services provided by McColly as keys to her and other brokers' success.

“A lot of it comes from corporate and the programs that they offer us free of charge,” she said. “For me, it’s also about the Performance Plus Deferred Compensation, which is like an investment program that’s become my retirement fund. What else can I say? I’m just so glad we’re all here together today.”
