So come celebrate with the shops, galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and theatres of the Uptown Arts District. More and more businesses are participating in this fun event. Experience traditional and contemporary art, photography, architecture, fashion, music, good food, free refreshments and other surprises.

The Uptown Arts District is Michigan City’s eclectic enclave of galleries, creative businesses, boutiques and one-of-a-kind restaurants. Located a few blocks from Michigan City’s lakefront along Franklin and adjoining blocks, our unique and historic art and cultural center opens its doors for special events on the first Friday of every month from 5 to 8 p.m. Join us for a festive evening of art openings, music, shopping, and dining!
