Mascot Hall of Fame to Host Grand Opening Celebration April 5th, 6th, & 7th

Mascot-Hall-of-Fame-to-Host-Grand-Opening-Celebration-2019The Mascot Hall of Fame in Whiting, Indiana invites you to join us for a Grand Opening Celebration taking place Friday, April 5th through Sunday, April 7th. Enjoy this spectacular weekend filled with famous mascot appearances, family activities, photo ops, and an official MHOF Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the new, interactive children’s museum located at 1851 Front Street in Whiting.

The Grand Opening Celebration kicks off Friday, April 5th from 10am-6pm including many well-known, local mascot appearances throughout the day, photo ops, autograph sessions, and interactive activities for the whole family. The excitement will continue Saturday, April 6th from 10am-6pm, beginning with a ceremonial MHOF Ribbon Cutting at 10am joined by Mayor Joe Stahura, City and MHOF Officials, and famous MHOF Inductees! Saturday will feature appearances by Hall of Famers Tommy Hawk (Chicago Blackhawks), The Nittany Lion (Penn State University), Lil Red (University of Nebraska), Sluggerrr (Kansas City Royals), KC Wolf (Kansas City Chiefs), and of course, the MHOF’s official mascot, Reggy. In addition, Saturday will include continued family fun, a 'Members Only’ Furitorium reception with an exclusive 1pm press conference, and the exciting unveiling of the MHOF 2019 Induction Ceremony logo. The event will last through Sunday, April 7th from 10am-5pm with more kid fun and appearances by local university & Chicagoland mascots we all know and love.

Don’t miss this weekend-long celebration at Northwest Indiana’s newest attraction! Admission for adults and children on Grand Opening Weekend is $12.00 per person. Additional activities and events throughout the weekend are FREE for those in attendance.

Since opening its doors on December 26th of 2018, the MHOF has proven to entertain over 7,000 children, families, and sports fans from all over the country through its interactive exhibit areas and mascot-themed events.
