Rittenhouse Senior Living of Portage hosted a party and parade to celebrate Mardi Gras. Each manager created a float with their staff and they were each showcased to the residents in the form of a parade. There was a wide verity of floats; some with babies, some with food and others with pictures. Each resident in attendance was able to cast a vote for the best float. The competition became pretty competitive and there were two winners. The residents really enjoyed the festivities and food.
Delores Ughetti, Activities Director, did most of the planning for the event. Delores decorated the loft area to look like Bourbon Street and served Green River Punch and Paczki’s. “It was so nice to see all the managers come together and have a fun time with the residents,” said Delores.
