Many thanks go out to the many individuals, businesses and organizations that provided gifts for the 2013 Santa Cause and food baskets for Christmas dinner. The Santa Cause is Trustee Clancy’s Christmas program designed to help needy parents provide gifts for their kids at Christmas.
Generous benefactors this year were Immanuel Lutheran Church, Trinity Methodist Church, Bonner Senior Center, Fegely Middle School, Toys for Tots, Bricklayers Local 4,YABA Camelot Bowling, Ma’s Lil Champs, Willowcreek Middle School, Portage High School, Northwest Indiana Woodworkers Association, Konrady Plastic’s, Job’s Daughters, Ogden Dunes community Church, Portage WalMart, Sterling House, Grace Baptist Church, Laurel Canterbury, Larry and Maureen Wendrix, Maureen Rutherford, Leslie Zegler, the Kurdy’s family and Monda Richardson and family.
Trustee Clancy would like to also thank the employees of Midwest Family Credit Union here in Portage for their generous donation of $1500 to the Friends of Portage Township Foundation to help keep our emergency food pantry shelves full here at the trustee’s office during these difficult times.
