Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) strives to empower and encourage students of all ages to have a lifelong love of art and creativity. Learning programs, including classes, camps, outreach events, and more are offered to children, teens, and adults.
LCA's Summer 2021 schedule includes a wide variety of engaging classes for students of all ages and skill levels such as, Abstract Painting, Mixed Media Explorations, Sandcastle Writers (for adult students), Painting for Young Artists, Spoken Word, and a series of Tinker Cardboard Build Workshops. To ensure a safe environment for everyone, all classes, camps, and workshops will follow Covid-19 protocols.
In addition to class sessions, LCA will offer a number of individual workshops targeted toward unique artistic expression. LCA's popular Fused Glass workshop returns on July 24, 2021 along with two new workshops to explore: Nature Sketching and Drawing and Painting Birds. LCA will also offer a free Neon Drawings workshop for teens.
For kids ages 8 to 13, LCA will present summer camps that provide up to three weeks of engaging, creative fun. All weekly camps run from 9 AM to 1PM, with themes this year that include Things That Fly, Ocean Deep, and Myths, Tales and Lore. Campers will explore a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, bookmaking, and animation. (Sign up for one week or all three!)

As accessibility is at the heart of our mission, scholarships for all ages are available for LCA summer offerings, thanks to the generous support of the Unity Foundation of LaPorte County and LCA ’s Dolly Fund. Also, LCA galleries are open six days per week, free of charge. Educational Gallery Tours are available for small groups, organizations, camps, and programs.
