Local Advertising Support Is Vital to Venue’s Continued Success

rot1The Memorial Opera House received a wonderful Valentine this year when news came of Valparaiso’s Bison Financial Group making a $1,400 purchase of advertising space in upcoming show programs.

A check for that amount will be presented by Bison’s Senior Vice President Paul J. Kuzemka and Financial Advisor Dan Styf on March 4 to Opera House Artistic Director Scot MacDonald, Opera House Business Director Michelle Smith, and The Foundation Board at the Bison Financial Group, 150 West Lincolnway, Ste. 2003 in downtown Valparaiso

Paul and Dan have been good friends to Memorial Opera House. They ushered for our Lunchtime Cabaret performances all of last year and will continue again this year. They have been quite an addition to those performances, as our patrons, especially the young ladies, enjoy being ushered to their seats by such charming and professional gentlemen,” said Smith. “Paul and Dan first advertised with us in April of last year, when they purchased the back page of our season show programs.”

Smith added how local business support through advertising in the show programs is vital to the success of the productions and to the maintenance of the historic building, built in 1893 as a memorial to Civil War veterans, and being lovingly preserved for future generations of Hoosiers.

The Memorial Opera House is one of Valparaiso’s real gems. One that deserves to be supported and recognized, not only for the incredible majesty of the building itself, but also for the high-quality productions that are presented on a regular basis there,” said Bison’s Paul J. Kuzemka. “The Memorial Opera House adds immeasurably to the quality of life of those citizens who take advantage of its presence in our city. We at Bison Financial Group are very proud to provide continued support to such a worthwhile organization.”

The Memorial Opera House 2014 season has seven scheduled productions -- “Anything Goes” (Feb. 21-March 9), “Company (April 25-May 11), “The Glass Menagerie” (June 13-29), “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” (July 25-Aug. 10), “Prisoner of Second Avenue” (Sept. 12-28), “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” (Oct. 31-Nov. 6) and “Annie” (Dec. 5-21).

All performances run at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. For more information: www.memorialoperahouse.com
