Recently VisionPoint / Sunglass Point hosted the Life is So Bright, I Need New Shades contest. The winners have been chosen. Both of the group's locations in Valparaiso and Portage were at the hub of the Facebook contest, driving friends, family and well-wishers to "LIKE" patrons in sunglasses from their product lines.

Those were the questions of Gina Degener, sunglass winner from the Portage store, located at 6097 US Highway 6. Her favorite part of the contest was, of course, "The glasses!" She admitted to enjoying the healthy competition, "Getting the word out was really fun." She added, "Some of the people on my Facebook page didn't know that [VisionPoint] sold sunglasses. Now they do."

Collen Cunningham of VisionPoint's corporate office was on hand for the presentation of Gina's prize winning pair of Ray Bans, as was Judy Macedo, staff member, who helped Degener choose the best frame for her happy smile.

At the Valparaiso location at 2106 North Calumet Avenue, Korbin Bolde, just 7 years old, looked at this competition as a business venture. He made and distributed cards thoughout the congregation of his church, Living Stones in Crown Point to campaign for his "LIKES".
