Learn how therapy may help dizziness and vestibular issues

Nearly 69 million Americans have experienced dizziness or imbalance at some point in their lives. However, dizziness, vertigo and balance issues may be symptomatic of a deeper problem.

Join staff members from our Dizzy and Balance Therapy Services as they spotlight available therapies and offer tips to help you reduce symptoms of vestibular disorders. This free presentation is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the Conference Room at Community Hospital Outpatient Center, 9660 Wicker Ave., St. John.

The evening will include demonstrations of balance and therapy equipment and a tour of the Dizzy and Balance Therapy Services space.

If frequent dizziness and poor balance symptoms are a concern, Veronica Cohen, supervisor of Dizzy & Balance Therapy Services, encourages patients to seek help right away. Customized treatment plans get patients on the road to a better quality of life, she said.

“Our staff recognizes that every patient has unique needs, and we perform specific testing to best determine the cause of his or her dizziness and balance issues,” Cohen said. “We work with the patient’s goals to develop a cohesive plan of care that will treat the symptoms based on the latest research and standards of practice in our fields.”
