Lakeshore Bone & Joint to celebrate two years at new Crown Point location on June 20

Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute (LBJI) has been an integral part of the Crown Point community for almost a decade as a leading healthcare provider. LBJI has been proud to expand along with the ever-growing community the location serves over the years.

“I think Crown Point is growing very quickly with a lot of good, hard-working people,” said Aaron Anderson, M.D., LBJI President and Fellowship-Trained Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon. “It's been a pleasure to be in that area to serve those people and their needs. It's growing more and more every day with younger, working families, and it's our pleasure to be able to serve them and make sure that they have the best musculoskeletal care in the area.”

In 2021, Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute made the decision to move its office to a bigger location to continue offering quality healthcare services to the Crown Point community. Now, the newer location at 500 East 109th Avenue is coming up on its two-year anniversary, and LBJI has plans to mark the milestone with a lively celebration on Tuesday, June 20.

“We were in a smaller office and then it became time to expand and make a larger office that can accommodate more patients with easier parking and easier access to our facilities and services,” Dr. Anderson said. “Since we have served the community for quite a long time and have also increased our presence there with multiple surgeons, we became large enough that it was in our best interest to open a larger office to better serve the patients in the Crown Point area.”

Making the move quickly proved to be the best decision for the Crown Point location, as it has seen a multitude of successes in just 24 short months. Currently, the Crown Point location houses an Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic, On-site MRI and X-ray, Physical and Occupational Therapy, spacious waiting rooms, and convenient parking.

“Our urgent care has been very successful in serving the Crown Point community. It's had an increasing number of patients since we've opened,” Dr. Anderson said. “Since we've opened, we've also increased our footprint and the number of services we provide, such as podiatry and multiple subspecialties including orthopedics from spine to hand to joints to sports. It's been a very well-received success as far as the patients like it due to the spacing, the services provided, and the comfort and ease of access of that location.”

LBJI staff will look back on all these accomplishments, as well as what’s to come, and invite the community to come out and join in the fun. From 5-7 p.m. on June 20, guests can come to tour the LBJI Crown Point facility, listen to the Crown Point High School Jazz Band, and enjoy the local vendors. Dr. Anderson and Mayor Pete Land will say a few words to the community at 5:30 p.m.

“People should come out if they want to have a better knowledge of the Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute and the type of services that we provide for the area and for the community,” Dr. Anderson said. “I think it's a good opportunity for them to see the inner workings of Lakeshore Bone & Joint and how we run so they get a better idea of our corporation, the services we provide, and how we plan on serving the community for many years to come.”

As a community-centered business, Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute always appreciates opportunities to interact with the people it serves and is proud to offer patients quality healthcare services by their world-class team of orthopedic experts right in their neighborhood.

“It's a good opportunity for Lakeshore Bone & Joint to show the community who we are and what we represent. Sometimes coming in and seeing things firsthand is a good opportunity to see what we're all about,” Dr. Anderson said. “We are about giving the highest level of musculoskeletal care to the community—we're very community-focused. We're more into the community feel and enjoy servicing the area to give people the best possible musculoskeletal care that they can achieve anywhere in the country.”
