So do we. Real. Strong. Girls., a new initiative of Lake Area United Way, is a network of strong women who are on a mission to improve girls' self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-resiliency.
About the Event To achieve this mission, RSG women are hosting the first "Love Your #Selfie!" Retreat for middle school girls. This high energy, inspiring event will empower girls to Dream Big, Be Bold, and Be Brave. Girls will experience dynamic power talks, engage in fun small group activities, enhance their leadership skills through interactive workshops, and most importantly HAVE FUN!

Volunteers Needed! Can you lend a hand? Volunteers are needed in three key areas:
- Small Group Leaders*: Help facilitate small group discussion and craft activities in on of three 40 minute workshops.
- Experience Helper*: Lend a hand at the registration desk, help girls at the Selfie! station, and guide girls through interactive activities during the general sessions.
- Greeter: Greet girls and their parents with a friendly smile, help guide and direct girls to workshops and general sessions. Help manage breakfast, snack bars, and lunch buffet.
*Small Group Leaders and Experience Helpers will receive hands-on training and a facilitator's guide during orientation.
Volunteer Requirements
- Criminal Background Check performed by Lake Area United Way
- Attend one Volunteer Orientation Session. All sessions will be held at Lake Area United Way and refreshments will be provided.
- Saturday, March 18th, 10am-noon
- Tuesday, March 21st, 3pm-5pm
- Friday, March 24th, 9am-11am
