Kizer Very Driven, Sports-Minded

Luke-KizerLuke Kizer, son to Mark and Lisa Kizer, is a sophomore at Portage High School. He currently has a GPA of 3.8. Luke lettered in basketball his freshman and sophomore years. He also lettered in soccer this year.

He currently is a member of the Captain’s Council. It consists of the captains of various athletic teams. They conduct service projects throughout the community. Luke has participated in the leaf raking for seniors and also has packed snack bags for the Chicago Marathon.

Luke is very sports minded. He enjoys being a referee for Portage Youth Basketball and being an umpire for Portage Little League. When asked about his son, Mark said, “Luke is very driven. He is also taking driver’s education this year in addition to everything else he does and he still handles all well.

Both Lisa and Mark agree that the more Luke is involved the better his attendance and desire to be at school. Luke takes his academics very seriously. Luke sees a career as a pharmacist in his future. He hopes to attend either Purdue University or Butler.
