Kiwanis Club of Portage Donates to Youth Aquatic Therapy Program

Kiwanis-Donates-to-Youth-Aquatic-Therapy-ProgramKiwanis Club of Portage recently donated $300 to Jacob’s Ladder for their Aquatics Therapy Program for special needs youth. Mariann Frigo, CEO & President of Jacob’s Ladder, was guest speaker at a recent club meeting, educating the group about new therapy programs they have introduced since her last visit to the club.

Jacob’s Ladder is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit outpatient rehabilitation facility for children with special needs. A favorite charity for many years, Kiwanis Club of Potage has donated adaptive bikes, supplies, and money to the organization. “Barney (one of Portage’s Comfort Dogs & Honorary Kiwanis member) and I love to visit Jacob’s Ladder”, states club member Tim Engel. “To see the positive reactions the children have to Barney is truly astounding.”
