Kiemle-Hankins Receives Community Spirit Award from Lake Area United Way

Kiemle-Hankins-Community-SpiritLake Area United Way recently presented Kiemle-Hankins Co., Northwest Indiana Division, with the prestigious “Community Spirit” award from for the company’s outstanding support of the 2012 United Way community campaign. This award recognizes organizations that use benchmark model practices in their workplace giving efforts resulting in increased contributions over the previous year.

Kiemle-Hankins has a proud tradition of supporting United Way and the communities it serves. We thank them for their generosity,” said TJ Holsen, Director of Resource Development for Lake Area United Way. Kevin Napierala, Kiemle-Hankins’ Division Manager for Northwest Indiana, received the award at the Crown Point facility.

Holsen said, “The contribution from Kiemle-Hankins increased 130% over the prior year’s campaign. Extremely impressive! The management and employees understand the impact their donations make and know their participation is creating lasting change right here in Lake County,” he added.

In accepting the award Napierala said, “We are pleased to be in a position to increase our level of support to Lake Area United Way and its member agencies. It is another way for us to support the community in which we all live, work and raise our children.”
