Joy School Students Raise Funds During Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Provide Mammograms

Joy-Students-Breast-Cancer-2013Students at Joy Elementary School in Michigan City, for the second consecutive year, joined in Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Michigan City’s battle against breast cancer by raising $197.48 during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to provide funds for mammograms for women who otherwise could not afford them.

Students pay to wear jeans on Jean Days, which takes place on the first and third Fridays of the month at the school, with proceeds donated to local causes.
