Title: Assistant Closing Coordinator

Reports to: Closing Coordinator / Accounting Manager

Job Location: 3408 ENTERPRISE AVENUE - VALPARAISO, IN

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting the closing coordinator with daily tasks and clerical duties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with closing/assessment letters
  • Transition owners within management software program
  • Prepare assessment letters
  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, etc.
  • Process closing checks
  • Provide polite and professional communication with title companies
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
  • Operate standard office equipment including multi-line telephone system, copier/printer/fax machine, postage machine, computer, and calculator
  • Perform duties for accounting department – such as filing, correspondence, data entry, and delivering bank deposits
  • Answer/return phone calls, take accurate messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner
  • Use personal vehicle to perform company business when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Follow guidelines set out in the 1st American Management Co., Inc. employee handbook

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Education or Equivalent

  • Computer literacy – basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
