Jewelry Making Classes in November and December at the Portage Library

Portage-Public-LibraryMara Wible will lead jewelry making classes on Fridays from 12-2pm. Fee is $20, supplies included; projects will be finished in the class time allotted. Pre-registration is strongly requested.

Beginning Stringing, November 9 and December 7: create a bracelet using flexible beading wire, crimps and the crimping tool. You will discover what materials are available, when, where and why to use them. This skill can be applied to make necklaces, anklets and much more.

Basic Wire Loop Bracelet, November 16 and December 14: Master wrapped loops as well as how to incorporate beads, chain and other findings.

Crochet with Wire Bracelet, November 30: Learn how the most basic crochet stitch is used to create a delicate piece of wearable art that will result in something distinctively different every time.
