As part of the City of Valparaiso’s recognition of March as Disability Awareness Month, the City and sponsors will host a free presentation by Jason Benetti at 6:00 pm on March 21, 2023, at Ivy Tech Valparaiso, 3100 Ivy Tech Dr. Benetti is a nationally recognized sports play-by-play announcer for the Fox network and the Chicago White Sox. Benetti has cerebral palsy, which impacts his balance and ability to walk, but not his on-air work. He will be sharing an important message on “not judging a book by its cover” and overcoming adversity. Beginning at 5:00 pm, local organizations and service providers will host informational booths.
