Ivy Tech “Groove to the Sixties” Variety Show Fundraiser

Groove-to-the-60s-Event-FlyerIvy Tech would like to let you know about a fundraising event, Groove to the Sixties, which will be held on 4/11/14. This Sixties Variety Show will also include dinner and a silent auction. Proceeds help support program enhancements at Ivy Tech campuses in East Chicago, Gary, Michigan City and Valparaiso.

So what is a Sixties Variety Show you ask? You are invited to get groovy with us for an evening of popular entertainment. Go ape for appearances by Sonny and Cher, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Laugh In, Ed Sullivan and many more who left their mark on this far out generation. Dig up your bellbottoms, plaids, psychedelic prints, wide ties and get ready to rave on! This night is guaranteed to be outta sight with primo entertainment and, more importantly, a groovy way to celebrate the success of Ivy Tech’s continued excellence in education! Performances will be given by local celebrities including: Ed Charbonneau, District 5 Senator; David Lain, Porter County Sheriff; Michael Brickner, Valparaiso Chief of Police; Jared Riddle, Ivy Tech NW Department Chair; Karen Freeman-Wilson, City of Gary Mayor; Chris White, The Times Media Company Publisher; Jack Elia, Blue Chip Casino Assistant General Manager, and more.

Donate an item or gift certificate for the silent auction—please see attached letter (the date for submitting auction items is been extended to 3/28)

Be a sponsor, which includes ticket benefits—the info is listed on the attached flyer (you can be invoiced or credit card payments are available; I can also send you a W9)

Tickets to Groove to the Sixties are $75 per person with $40 being tax deductible. To purchase tickets on line, go to www.ivytech.edu/northwest and click on the flower button.
