IU Northwest Opens Summer Enrollment for Adult Education Classes

rot1The Center for Urban and Regional Excellence at Indiana University Northwest offers courses for lifestyle enrichment and career enhancement through its Adult Education program. Courses are taught on campus, and at multiple locations in Northwest Indiana.

IU Northwest students and the community are encouraged to register in courses that will enhance their current skills and acquire new knowledge in healthcare, computers, business and social media.

Upcoming courses offered by IU Northwest include:

Career Development
Certified Nursing Assistant: Three-week course offered on a rolling basis now through July 7; $810; Classes have limited enrollment and may fill up before the start date.

Pharmacy Technician Training: Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 3 - August 21, 6 to 8:30 p.m., $995 (includes books). If registering after May 28, fee will be $1,050.

Business
Introduction to Public Relations: Mondays, July 21 and 28; 7 to 9 p.m.; $85. If registering after July 7, fee will be $95.

Social Media
Introduction to Facebook: Saturdays, July 12 and 19; 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; $85. If registering after July 7, fee will be $95.

Computers
WORD—Microsoft Office 2013: Saturday, June 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., $155 (includes book). If registering after June 4, fee will be $165.

EXCEL—Microsoft Office 2013: Saturday, June 21, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., $155 (includes book) / ($140 if you have book from WORD class). If registering after June 11, fee will be $165 ($140 if you have book from WORD class).

Intermediate EXCEL – Microsoft Office 2013: Saturday, June 28, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., $155 (includes book) / ($140 if you have WORD or EXCEL book). If registering after June 18, fee will be $165 ($140 if you have WORD or EXCEL book).
