9th-Samaritan-SkedaddleCome race with us! The Samaritan Skedaddle is an annual 5K Run/Walk to support the Samaritan Counseling Centers, Inc. in Northwest Indiana. Our 2011 race attracted 525 participants, and we're expecting more this year.

Online registration is now available. Download, print, and complete a Race application and mail to Samaritan Center, 340 Commerce Sq., Michigan City, IN 46360.

Same day registration will be available for $30, starting at 7:30 am at the Presbyterian Church parking lot in Michigan City (121 W 9th St). Please allow extra time if choosing the same day option.

The scenic 5K flat course starts and ends at the corner of 8th and Washington Street in downtown Michigan City. Runners and walkers will follow Pine Street to beautiful Washington Park, pass the historic Michigan City Lighthouse, the marina, and the harbor and then back on Washington to the finish line. At each mile, you will receive your split time. At the midway point, you can grab some water.

The Skedaddle will award the top 3 male and top 3 female 14 years of age and over finishers. There will also be awards for the top 3 male and top 3 female 13 years and under. All finishers will be entered in a random prize drawing.

No registration is necessary for Kids' Fun Run, ages 9 and under.
