The Iron Diamonds of Porter County hosted the Chicago Salmon & Winona Lake (IN) Blue Laws for a triple-header of 1858 baseball today. Each club played 2 games each & club went 1-1 for the day. Kinda nice that everyone got a win. Thank you to the Portage Parks Dept. for grooming the field at Woodland Park & impressing both visiting clubs.
They love the setting in Portage & always look forward to coming to town (the BIG picnic we treat them to after the games doesn't hurt either).
