Indiana University Northwest invites Illinois residents to learn about special pricing and admission services for Illinois students

March 9 “Do the Math” event will answer prospective students’ questions about costs, degree programs, the admissions process, and more

Indiana University Northwest offers discounted rates and provides customized admissions assistance for non-resident students from select states, including Illinois. On March 9, the university will host a webinar explaining these special provisions and highlighting its degree programs, career preparation opportunities, campus life, and more. The virtual “Do the Math” event is free and open to all Illinois residents. Participants have two sessions to choose from, one at 3 p.m. and another at 6 p.m.

“IU Northwest is an excellent choice for Illinois students,” said Dorothy Frink, director of Admissions and Admissions and Strategic Recruitment. “We offer special rates for Illinois residents through the Midwest Student Exchange Program. When you couple these rates with grants and other forms of financial aid, IU Northwest costs less than many Illinois college and universities.”

She added that the university is located in Gary, Indiana, a few blocks south of I-94 on Broadway, within 10 miles of the Illinois border and about 30 miles from Chicago. “Beyond cost, IU Northwest offers Illinois resident many advantages, including a short commute, award-winning faculty, 70 degree programs, 70 student organizations, and unique opportunities to gain real-world experience you won’t find anywhere else,” said Frink.
