Imagination Glen BMX and Portage Parks Department Announce Olympic Day Activities on June 28

BMXImagination Glen BMX and Portage Parks Dept. are proud to announce they will be joining the over 300 BMX tracks around the United States participating in OLYMPIC DAY. Imagination Glen will offer free practice, racing, bikes, and helmets. NO MEMBERSHIP NEEDED!!! Bring the whole family to check out the NEWEST Olympic Sport!

Olympic Day is a worldwide commemoration of Baron Pierre de Coubertin’s June 23, 1894, convening of the first International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting at the Sorbonne in Paris, and the founding of the Modern Olympic Games. National Olympic Committees (NOCs) throughout the world will also participate in the international celebration, with each Olympic Committee sending Olympic Day greetings to participating nations.

When: FRIDAY, June 28, 2013- 4pm-close, racing to start after 6:30pm

Imagination Glen BMX was started in 2000 and has provided numerous levels of competition for thousands of kids and adults alike. The track is sponsored by the Portage Parks Dept., and is fully staffed with volunteers. This track was fully reconfigured for the 2011 Hoosier National, come see why it has quickly become a favorite on the BMX circuit.

UPCOMING EVENTS: SATURDAY, June 29th come race again (no membership needed)! Racing is not free but money raised goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Registration is 5-6:30 and racing ASAP. Fees are $20 for Class or Cruiser, $5 for Opens and Striders. No discounts for for this race. & IMAGINATION GLEN BMX
