Nativity of Our Savior School announces that middle school math teacher, Mrs. Elise Correa, was nominated and selected to be a member of Indiana Department of Education’s Teacher Advisory Council. She will serve a two-year term on the council.
The Advisory Council is composed of just 11 teachers statewide — one teacher from each of Indiana’s nine congressional districts, plus two at large members. The council is invited to the Indiana Statehouse each semester to meet. The purpose of the council is to provide a forum for teachers to participate in meaningful discussion of education matters impacting the local, state, and national level with senior level IDOE members. Teachers on the Advisory Council provide valuable stakeholder input for the IDOE.
Mrs. Correa has long demonstrated a strong desire to grow in her profession through continued education and development. To be selected for this elite group, is a testament to her commitment to education and our students! Congratulations!
