Hot Rod Power Tour Powered Through Crown Point.

The Hot Rod Power Tour made an appearance in Crown Point, Indiana for the first time on June 11th from 2pm-7pm. The Hot Rod Power Tour consists of a zealous group of individuals who drive cross-country all over the United States together to share their passion for "Hot Roding".

This years' tour is managing to conquer seven cities in seven days, starting from Concord, NC, and making its way through Knoxville, TN; Charleston, WV; Norwalk, OH; Crown Point, IN; Bettendorf, IA; and Wisconsin Dells, WI. This huge caravan of over 4,500 cars provides an economic boom for every town they enter, from eating at local restaurants and shopping in stores to giving our hotels plenty of business. The tour not only helps bring towns to life, but it provides exceptional tourism for the people in surrounding towns as well.

HOT ROD Magazine said, "The HOT ROD Power Tour" is the ultimate Hot Rodding journey and has gathered car enthusiasts from all over the world to sightsee, explore and show off their custom car creations in car crazy towns all over the U.S. for 20 years."

Batistatos, President and CEO, of South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority said, "'The Hot Rod' Power Tour is such an special event because it is such an exceptionally visual event, the residents love to see this kind of tourism, not to mention it really help out small businesses in the area."

It was a long day for everyone involved in the Hot Rod Tour, but at the end of the day everyone was full of high spirits and lots of energy for exploring what Crown Point's nightlife has to offer. The full day of fun in the sun, in Crown Points beautiful fair grounds, helped the Hot Rod tour turn out to be a huge success for families and kids of all ages.
